Parent Roles Required for Each Team
All teams need all of the following roles filled by parent volunteers. Please read through and have an idea of which role(s) you may be interested in taking on for the season. Roles will be assigned at the first team meeting at the beginning of the season. If a parent doesn't attend the team meeting, a role may be assigned to them without their input.

| Head Coach | Under the guidance of Ile des Chenes Minor Hockey, perform Coach duties for the age group assigned. Consults with Assistant Coach(es), Manager, Safety and Parent Rep as well as IDCMHA Development Coordinator. Provides learning and development to ALL players while maintaining the objective of a lifelong love of the game. | View details |
| Assistant Coaches | Under the guidance of Ile des Chenes Minor Hockey and in consultation with the Head Coach, perform Coach duties for the age group assigned. Provides learning and development to ALL players while maintaining the objective of a lifelong love of the game. | View details |
| Manager | The role of the Team Manager is to perform organizational and administrative tasks, under guidance of IDCMHA and the coaching staff, allowing them to focus on instruction and player development. | View details |
| Parent Rep | The Parent Rep’s role is to ensure a safe & respectful process for parents to communicate questions or concerns. The Parent Rep is a parent’s first point of contact and works with the coaching staff, manager or safety to respond to questions or concerns. If an answer/resolution cannot be successfully achieved at the team level, the Parent Representative is responsible for raising it with the IDC Minor Hockey Board. | View details |
| Safety Rep | The Safety Rep’s role is to ensure safety is a priority during all hockey related activities, both on and off the ice. You must play a leadership role in implementing effective risk management with your team, enhancing the safety of players and all involved in amateur hockey. | View details |
| Tournament Coordinator | The role of the Tournament Coordinator is to collaborate with tournament coordinators from their partner teams, under the guidance of the IDC Minor Hockey Board Tournament Director, to plan and organize and run their home tournament. | View details |
