IDCMHA is proud to emphasize development opportunities for all players and goalies across our association.
For 2025-2026, the on-ice instruction will be provided by Byron Spriggs from Spriggs Goaltending.
OBJECTIVE:
Goalie Development provides an opportunity to introduce and advance skill development for new and experienced goalies and for coaches to gain new insights and experiences to apply to their own practices.
COST:
IDCMHA covers the cost of this programing for registered members and sessions will be scheduled by IDCMHA throughout the season.
PROGRAM PURPOSE :
- U9 players are enouraged to rotate through the goalie position (Hockey Canada Pathway). These development sessions are open to all players interested in goaltending to promote, encourage, and build confidence in U9 players to try the position.

- Provide position specific skill development
- Provide information and support on the position: equipment, training, techniques, practice drills, skill development, etc.

- Goalie development sessions are open to all IDCMHA players at any time during the season. For information, contact Development
